About Dr. Lippincott

Dr. Matthew Lippincott provides leadership consulting and coaching services, and – as one of the original team members – also held the role of Chief Solutions Officer for Goleman EI. He completed his Doctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania, where his award-winning research investigated the relationship between leadership effectiveness, EI, and mindfulness. He is peer reviewed and Harvard Business Review published, has contributed to 4 EI reference books, has written 25 articles, and is releasing more than 50 interviews focused on organizational performance.

Dr. Lippincott has provided Leadership and performance-oriented EI training and services for Bank of America, Google, Gilead Sciences, GoHealthKBC GroupHindustan PetroleumNPS, Worldwide Business Research, University of Virginia and University of Pennsylvania. He is also a certified coach and coach trainer, keynote speaker, and online training product developer.

Dr. Lippincott has previously held leadership roles at two global software companies, SAS Institute and i2 Technologies (now Blue Yonder), where he managed operations and teams in North America and Europe. In these roles he supported consulting and partnerships for Valero, Dell, Accenture, Bearing Point, CGE&Y, IBM, Nike, and many others. He has also raised capital, transformed business models, and held leadership positions with smaller organizations, as well as creating new legal protections for business owners and employees at the supreme court level.

Dr. Lippincott has previously worked as an outdoor guide, tribal youth counselor, Coast Guard Auxiliary Staff Officer, and was a Junior Olympic competitor in Tae Kwon Do. He has earned black belts in 4 martial arts systems and volunteers as an instructor in Tae Kwon Do, Krav Maga, and women’s self-defense.

Dr. Lippincott is also a steadfast, financial supporter of St. Labre Indian School, North Texas Food Bank, St. Joseph’s Indian School, World Vision, ChildFund International, Southwest Reservation Aid, the Humane Society of the United States, and the ASPCA.
